The park was named after the the
Seğmens also known as the
Efe’s of
Ankara. The topography of the park area of 67.050 sqm resembles a natural valley.
The Seğmenler Park which was arranged by the
Metropol Municipality of Ankara in memory of the 100th birthday of
Atatürk and projected by
Selami Sözer was opened in 1983. The park which is situated on the side of
Çankaya next to
Atakule is a comfortable environment for those who wish to take a walk or to rest. In the park there stand sculptures of
Seğmens made by sculptor
Burhan Aklar. In the part there is a amphitheater, a pool and a children’s playground for children.
